Overview
About 30 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, Terranea Resort is a palatial resort in the city's backyard. Many rooms look out onto the Pacific Ocean from balconies and come equipped with a long list of luxury amenities, including flat-screen TVs, separate showers and tubs, and Wi-Fi access (covered by a daily resort fee). But most guests appreciate what's outside their quarters, particularly the fitness center and multiple pools. The hotel also houses a noteworthy spa, and visitors are in awe of the expansive, manicured grounds – all 102 acres. This family- and pet-friendly resort has eight delectable eateries and watering holes. Of those, Catalina Kitchen is the true standout with its breakfast and patio setting.

For Asian dishes, try Bashi. And for something sweet, visit Sea Beans, which serves an assortment of pastries, homemade gelato, smoothies and more. Pool
Four pools are available at Terranea Resort. At the Resort Pool, travelers can enjoy a 140-foot waterslide and a splash pad while adults can hide away at the on-site adults-only pool. All pools have food and drink service and are surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas. Pool cabanas can be reserved for a fee. Beach with tide pools located on-site. Vista Pool welcomes guests 13 and older. Wading pool and family pool provide fun for all ages. For relaxation, guests can enjoy the whirlpool/hot tub or unwind at the adults-only pool area. Additional features include poolside service, a pool bar, deck chairs, and cabanas. Please note there is no lifeguard on duty, and some exclusive amenities like the lazy river and infinity pool are not available.

The Spa at Terranea features 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including 25 treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, a wellness center, a salon and more.
