Despite its name, the Viceroy Snowmass makes for a great luxury getaway with or without powder present. Rising prominently above Snowmass Village near some of the area's most popular slopes, this massive resort features a variety of outdoor activities, from skiing in the winter to hiking in the summer. Most visitors rave about the Viceroy's chic atmosphere and top-notch amenities: When you're not taking advantage of the great outdoors, recent guests recommend spending an hour or two getting pampered at the spa, lounging by the pool or enjoying a delicious meal at the on-site TORO Kitchen & Lounge. However, some recent guests felt that the rooms were a bit overpriced and the customer service left something to be desired. As far as accommodations, the guest rooms at this Viceroy resort earn high praise, with travelers commending the elegant linens, kitchen utensils and deep-soaking tubs. Meanwhile, the hotel's multiple-bedroom suites are convenient if you're traveling with kids or friends in tow.
